I´m sort of having my summer vacation now, but always have a bit of working mode switched on. The weather here is warm but dark and a bit rainy, so a bit of working is alright. ;) Later on I´ll watch the 3 hour dvd of the tv-series Moll Flanders from -96. Yay! I loved it then and have always wanted to see it again.

Well, it´s been a loooong time since I posted anything, probably around three weeks or something but my schedule has been absolutely crazy ever since Easter. It has been something almost every day!
I´ve been checking everyone´s LJ´s but haven´t really had any time for commenting or posting. Sorry ´bout that!

Pre-view of my entry to the FAE Dark Fantasy Art Show. Yes, I´m so evil but it´s so much more fun that way. *grins*

Hm, I´m really amazed by the weather here lately.
Yesterday was a lovely day, with sun and frost on the bare ground.

Today we woke up to 10 inches of snow, which in the early afternoon changed to rain, then hail and then we had LIGHTNINGS and THUNDER!! O.O ???

In completely different news, I´m really enjoying the work of this artist, Anna Ignatieva.
Always such fresh, free flowing art with great anatomy.

My thoughts go out to the people of Northern Europe who is/has suffered hard from bad weather the recent day(s). :( I saw some awful pics on TV yesterday.

No storm here yet. The weather is absolutely LOVELY, so instead of sitting here infront of the computer typing a long entry about me, myself and I, I will get out and enjoy the world I am living in, feeling the sun in my face for a while. ;)

Hello everyone, I´m back from the past LOL! We´ve had quite stormy weather here for a while and it hit the westcoast where I live pretty hard the night between Saturday and Sunday, so we woke up Sunday morning with no electricity in the house. We didn´t realize it was as bad as it was, but we just got the power on again last night (Tuesday) at nine-ish.
Well, Sweden is woods, woods, and woods all containing lots and lots of trees, which apparently tend to fall over if the wind is too hard. Which it was. So BANG! - all the way back to the Little House on the Prairie. Just like that. LOL!
I must admit there is a certain charm about having no other light than candle light. Taking a candle with me upstairs when it was time to go to bed kind of made me sleep really well, in a different way. And the pace of life slowed down, in a good way. No TV, no computer, more peace and quiet and more valuable time with my family. I´ve realized that, if not all "modern" people, at least *I* live a too hectic and stressful life. I´ve really re-charged the batteries ( resting the brain) these few days, so nothing bad that doesn´t have any good to come with it, eh? ;)
Thankfully our house is heated up by wood and the water heating system is very old with enormous pipes, so it´s circulating by itself to all the radiators, so we could keep warm without any problems. It helped too that we have the warmest winter in centuries (no snow, not even any frost, only rain, rain, rain....) although hard wind really takes the warmth out of a house. And I´d prefer a cold winter - this is not natural.

But despite the charm and coziness I´m happy we´re back to normal again, but I am trying to keep the good feeling of the "past" with me. Spending less time on the computer, and not stressing. There is really at least a little bit something to the power of positive thinking, don´t you agree? So much we can change within ourselves just by doing that. :)

I have been doing a large pile of laundry today and now when the power is back I can see there is definitely time for a good clean-up, LOL! And I just heard on the news that there maybe a new storm coming on Friday, and with all the trees in this country there maybe another trip to the past coming soon... ;)

A Mermaid ACEO this time. I really enjoy doing mermaids, I should do more. I´m not sure what I like about painting them but I think it is the challenge to make it actually look as it is an underwater view. And I like working with the blues and greens too. :) Maybe it is time for a fullsize mermaid painting soon?
